STRAWBERRY SCONES

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups cake wheat flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ¾ cup icing sugar
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 130 g butter
  • 1 cup strawberries ( chopped)
  • cups buttermilk yoghurt
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • Vanilla Glaze
  • ½ tub Mascarpone
  • ½ cup milk
  • cup icing sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence

Instructions
 

  • Sift dry ingredients into a large bowl.
  • Mix in the butter to form crumbs.
  • Add in the strawberries.
  • Mix to combine. .
  • Pour in the buttermilk to form a soft, yet sticky dough.
  • Shape into a disk, slice into triangles. Brush tops with milk.
  • Space them apart onto a greased baking pan and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degree celcius for 16- 20 minutes until golden brown.
  • Whisk the vanilla glaze ingredients into a silky smooth, pourable glaze.
  • Spoon vanilla glaze over, once the scones have cooled slightly.
  • Serve warm
