Clean garlic cloves and add to a greased baking dish.
Pour in enough olive oil to cover the garlic.
Add in the fresh herbs.
Bake at 180 degrees celcius for 45-60 minutes until the garlic has turned golden brown.
Remove from oven and keep aside
Slice thick slices of bread and toast in the oven, air fryer or toaster.
Spread the garlic oil and smudge the garlic cloves onto the toasted bread
Smear cream cheese thickly onto the bread. I used the jalapeño flavoured cream cheese.
Pile as much shredded cheese on the bread as desired
Bake the bread once again until the cheese is melty and gooey.
Add more smudged garlic cloves.
Drizzle freshly ground black pepper and freshly torn thyme.
Serve immediately!
Store leftover garlic and oil in a glass jar in the fridge.
Use for pastas, pizzas etc
