Cook Time 20 mins
Servings 5 people

Ingredients

  • 1 kg chicken wings (drums and flats - cleaned & patted dry)
  • 1 tbs oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp ginger powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • Sauce for Chicken Wings
  • 2 tbs maple syrup
  • 2 tbs Franks Red Hot sauce (similar to our chicken licken sauce in SA :)
  • 1 tbs soy sauce
  • 1 tsp chili flakes
  • 1 tsp mixed herbs or thyme or mint

Instructions

  • Place the wings into a bowl and drizzle the oil over them. Add the spices, salt and black pepper. Toss the wings to completely coat them.
  • Preheat the Air Fryer at 200 degrees celcius for 2 minutes. Add the wings in a single layer to the air fryer (they should not be touching or overlapping) and cook for 10 minutes at 200 degrees celcius.
  • After the timer goes off, open and carefully flip over the chicken wings. Cook for another 8 minutes. Remove the chicken wings and serve with your favourite sides.
  • Method: Sauce for Chicken Wings
  • Add the above ingredients to a saucepan over low heat. Let it simmer until it comes to a slow boil. Remove from heat. Allow to cool off a bit before tossing the cooked wings in it.
