Cinnamon Sugar Donut Bread

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Castor sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla essence
  • 2  large Eggs (roomtemperature)
  • ¼ cup Oil (Vegetable)
  • ¼ cup Butter (softened)
  • 1 ½ cups All Purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 tbs Molasses
  • ½ cup Buttermilk
  • Coat:
  • ½ cup Butter (melted)
  • 1 tbs Cinnamon
  • 2 tbs Castor sugar or brown sugar

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 180-degree celcius
  • Spray the loaf pan with a non-stick spray and keep asideuntil needed.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the butter, oil andsugar. Beat well until combined and fluffy.
  • Add in the eggs and vanilla, and beat until smooth andglossy for about two minutes.
  • Sift in the dry ingredients and add in the buttermilk oryoghurt.
  • Scrape the sides of the bowl to incorporate allingredients together.
  • Add in the molasses and mix until well combined.
  • Pour the batter into the baking pan and bake for 40 to 45minutes or until the bread is cooked through.
  • Remove from the oven and set aside to cool for about 10 minutes
  • Whilst still warm, gently loosen the loaf from the sides of the loaf pan
  • Brush the donut bread with melted butter and dust with generously with cinnamon sugar.
  • Sprinkle all sides of the bread with the cinnamon sugar blend.
  • Serve with your favourite cuppa.

Notes

Notes:
The bread should be stored in an airtight container, or into a ziploc bag to keep it fresh for longer.
If it is left on the counter, it will stay fresh for up to 4 days, however if it is placed into the refrigerator, the bread should last between 5 to 6 days.
