Marble Loaf Cake with Oreo Chocolate Glaze

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • pinch salt
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 135g butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 1/2 tbs cocoa powder
  • Oreo Chocolate Sauce
  • 1 large slab Oreo chocolate
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Sift the dry ingredients together except for the cocoa.
  • Using a handheld machine or stand mixer, whip up the butter, sugar, eggs & vanilla extract.
  • Fold in the dry ingredients and add in the milk
  • Divide the batter between two bowls & sift the cocoa into one of the bowls
  • Fold in to combine
  • Alternate the white and brown batter into a greased baking loaf pan
  • Using a toothpick or wooden skewer, create swirls in the batter.
  • Bake at 180°C for 30-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted, comes out clean.
  • Allow to cool completely before removing from cake pan.
  • Whilst loaf is baking, make the chocolate sauce by heating up the cream over low heat.
  • Break the chocolate into the cream and stir to blend in. Add in the vanilla extract.
  • When ready to serve, pour the chocolate sauce over the cake loaf.
