There’s nothing quite like a crispy sesame seed chicken toast, when it’s homemade! Either dunked in hot sauce or not, it’s equally delicious.
The texture is toothsome and the flavours are spunky. Here, spring onion, coriander, mint and green chillies are doing the heavy lifting for that vibrant taste!
Ridiculously easy, cozy comfort food.
I made these yesterday, for Iftaar, for my neighbour. When I took it over, all we reminisced about, was how any good food is born from merely spiced chicken and fresh white bread. A meal complete in itself.
Spread slices of white bread with a blitzed up fragrant chicken mixture, then cover in sesame seeds and fry to golden perfection. You can be biting into these, in less than 20 minutes!
Yes! If you read that again, it’s got to be white bread. I used Albany sliced bread. No compromising here. It’s not about healthy, perhaps balance 😉 but more about crisp and comfort food. 🙂
A Chinese dim sum dish is usually made with prawn meat, but here we’re trying to make it accessible and affordable to everyone, so we’re using chicken fillets. It tastes utterly good with chicken. It might be my best option to date.
